How to use dX: Overengineered Electronic Die
Built your own dX: Overengineered Electronic Die, or discovered one out in the wild, and wondering how to use it? Here, The Instructions!
- Press the center button (ROLL/−) to "roll" the die. The result of the die roll will be displayed for about 10 seconds, after which dX will go to sleep. (The type of die and length of time can be configured in the menu.)
- Press the right button (SLEEP/+) to make dX go to sleep immediately.
- Press the left button (MENU) to cycle through the menu. The top of the LED matrix will indicate the setting being adjusted, while the bottom of the LED matrix will indicate the current value.
- While in the menu, press the center button (ROLL/−) to decrement the current value or the right button (SLEEP/+) to increment the current value.
- To exit the menu, hold down the left button (MENU) until the LED matrix goes blank.
- IMPORTANT! After changing any settings, make sure dX has gone to sleep before you turn it off. This is when it writes its settings to EEPROM.
